We also offer partial upgrades, some instrumentation and software for test machine control, data acquisition and analysis systems to do materials or component testing. Some recent examples include adding our DCPD based fatigue crack growth and threshold testing systems to various existing controllers at a university lab, a creep data logger at an energy company and several tensile testing software upgrades.

Although most upgrades are routine, an interesting and challenging example was instrumenting a 20000 kN horizontal frame in Germany. To measure loads up to this level, 4 loadcells were used. Dirlik Controls provided the controller and software to test shackles and swivels used in commercial shipping industry. We supplied a similar controller and software package to another horizontal machine, this time in Azerbaijan testing chains, ropes and accessories to the offshore industry.
